A biotech company in Sunnyvale, CA is looking for a Human Resources Representative to help with processes and policies including benefits, immigration, mobility, compliance, onboarding and off-boarding of associates, leaves of absences and other associate, life-cycle related programs.  This position will work closely with the global HR staff, including HR business partners, Talent Management, Talent Acquisition and IT and Payroll.  The HR Representative will have a passion for HR and continuous process improvement and a customer-service orientation.

Position Responsibilities

  • Act as first line of support for all inquiries regarding benefits, policies and procedures from employees
  • Administer human resources policies, procedures and initiatives
  • Responsible for data entry in Workday systems
  • Assist with collecting data for internal audits
  • Maintain accurate employee data in Workday including but not limited to all new hire information, termination of employees, updating organizational structure changes, job titles, salary increases and other personnel related data
  • Compile and format reports and data from Workday as needed
  • Responsible for new employee on-boarding including conducting New Hire Orientation, processing new hire paperwork, background checks and I-9s
  • Manage temporary worker process for client groups, creating job requisitions, on-boarding new temporary workers, liaison between staffing agency and managers, maintaining and providing reports, converting/ extending workers as applicable and managing agreements for the temporary workforce
  • Ensure all processes are executed in accordance with governmental regulations (application of U.S. labor laws)
  • Compile and distribute internal employee communications regarding compensation, benefits, and company policies
  • Manage global data entry in Workday for non-US locations

Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources Management

Minimum of 3-4 years of experience working in a Human Resources Department

Proficient skill in using a variety of computer applications, including Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Word and PowerPoint

Strong interpersonal skills with ability to present complex information in a simplistic manner

Resolute in handling confidential/sensitive information

Comfortable working in a fast paced, constantly evolving, team environment

Self-directed, detail-oriented, problem solver with ability to come up to speed rapidly

Exceptional customer service focus, including attention to producing quality results with demonstrated ability to prioritize multiple tasks and manage work time efficiently
